Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. She was born on 11th November 1966. After making her feature film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was approached by a professional photographer. It led to an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody was very strict about not doing glamour or nude work. The rule was extended to her acting career. After receiving notice from the casting directors of a James Bond new film, Doody acted in a tiny portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took perhaps her most well-known role to date as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. When she moved to Hollywood, Doody became a star. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal She went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his agent and girlfriend.
